Mid-Century Modern House Architecture & Design Gallery
Our clients wanted to rebuild a 1958 hilltop home they’d lost in a wildfire. To capitalize on the home’s natural lighting and 365-degree hill views, we installed skylights, expansive glass walls, and corner windows without posts. Longer overhangs were designed to keep the home cool and protected from the sun.

Bright, Open and Scenic
The home owners lost their home in the California Wildfires of 2003. Our mission was to build them a new mid-century modern home that took full advantage of their breathtaking scenery. To accomplish this aesthetic, we created large open spaces with skylights and expansive glass walls to maximize natural lighting and showcase uninterrupted hilltop views. We added large picture windows and corner windows without posts to achieve and uninterrupted 360-degree view of the surrounding landscapes.
Our clients wanted tranquil sounds of water to be heard inside their home. We designed a special Koi pond with cantilevered spillways to protect the Koi from any prey. This unique water feature was installed in the new atrium, which is strategically placed in the center of the house. The Koi pond was framed by large windows and glass sliding doors that allow it to be viewed and heard throughout the house.
